It was my great pleasure to work with Patty on such memorable animation series as Miss Spider and Anne of Green Gables. She played Betty Beetle (Miss Spider's Mum) and Marilla Cuthbert (Anne) and created some wonderful characters with her warm, rich voice. Pat and I became friends and shared a love of gardening and cats. She was a beautiful and elegant person and a gifted actress and I am very very sad to know that we have all lost a true original.
