Life Story for Joan Moore
MOORE, A. Joan
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Moore, on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Upper Canada Lodge, Niagara-on-the-Lake, at the age of 93.
Loving mother of the late David (1981) and the late Michael (2001). Dear mother-in-law of Patti, of Niagara-on-the-Lake and Pat of Paris, ON. Precious “Nonie” of Rebecca (Jeff Meyer) and David and great grandson; Matthew. Dear sister of the late Noel Chisholm (1945).
Fondly remembered by her niece; Mary Jaques and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends in Canada and England.
Joan was a devoted member of the local Baha’i Spiritual Assembly. She volunteered at Chateau Gardens for many years. She organized an ongoing yearly September United Nations Appeal for Peace at local schools and participated in many other local organizations.
Burial to take place prior to visitation and service at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A service to commemorate Joan’s life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to a charity of their choice. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared at www.morganfuneral.com
