Meeting his Grandson

For those that knew my father, knew he was a good man.  A very kind, caring, help you out if he could kind of man.  My father has helped me out along the way in my life more times then I can count, and when I found out my wife Jennifer and I were having a sweet baby boy, I went through a list of names in my head.  While she was going to get checked out with the Doctor, I was sitting and writing down possible names, I settled on the name Riley, but wanted him to also have a middle name of some kind.  Since I was named for my grandfather, Peter, I decided to use my father's name Edward, as my sons middle name to not only give him another name of a great man and a great father, but also to show how proud I was of my father and how much I loved him.  It made me so proud I named my son Riley Edward, I remember showing it to Jennifer and she loved the name.  When my folks were able to make the trip down to Tennessee, United States to meet their newest grandson, my father looked so proud at him and had a sparkle in his eyes of happiness and joy upon meeting his new grandson.  My father told me how proud he was of Jen and myself and was very happy that his name was part of Riley's full name.  Anytime that Riley sees a picture of my father, he calls out Grampa so happy and proud.  The times I got to talk to my father on the phone, Riley would sometimes take the phone and say:  "Hi Grampa!"  My son is so happy to get to speak to him when ever he could.  Another thing about my father as I said before was he was always there to help out when ever he could.  He always told me that if I ever needed any help with paying for something for Riley, to tell him and he'd take care of it.

So, to wrap this up, this family has lost a great man in my father, but his legacy and memories will continue to live on with me, and his family in Ontario, and here in Tennessee.   What we've lost, the lord above has gained in one of the greatest people to become a angel.

We love and miss you dad with all our hearts.  And although we're heavy hearts of being sad of your passing, we will continue to move forward and remember all the great times we've shared with you and listening to your wealth of knowledge and shared laughter and joy we've had together.

Rest in Peace Dad.

Love your son,

Peter Hustenowich
