Life Story for William John "Bill" Mines

William John "Bill"  Mines
MINES, William John “Bill” - Peacefully after a brief illness on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in his 88th year. Dearly beloved husband of Muriel for 66 years. Loving father of Linda Crick (Kelly), Pat Cooper (Warren), Dan (Lynn) and David (Rita). Fondly remembered by 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister Anna Ralph and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Emma England and Helen Wasily and brother Tony Drexler. Bill was a member of BAC of St. George’s Anglican Church in St. Catharines. In his younger years Bill was very involved with sports, scouting, and the Home and School Association in Niagara-on-the-Lake. He was a dedicated employee of T.G. Bright & Company for over 40 years and in his retirement he continued as a grape grower.
The family will receive friends at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to either St. George’s Anglican Church or to the Salvation Army.
