Condolences

Condolence From: Mary Pat Bradbury
Condolence: Jan and Mary I wish to offer my condolences to you and your families on the death of your brother Bob. I did not really know him well but I remember him from being at the house after our days camping and I know that it is hard to lose a sibling as I lost my youngest sister last summer. I hate to have this be the way to get in touch again but please know that I am thinking of you.

Condolence: Many years ago I met Bob and Dick Grimm and we became friends instantly. We attended public school together in Oakville and shared some great times together as only young teens can.I saw Bob many years later in Ottawa where I am presently and his smile, that many years later, was unmistakable. He was always easygoing, gentle, caring, and although I have not met Bonnie and the kids,my heart goes out to them in their unimaginable grief.

Condolence From: Bob & Carrie Kessel
Condolence: Bonnie, Brandon, & Amy,

We are very sorry to hear about the loss of your father & husband. Bob Grimm was introduced to me thru Brandon one summer day in Saginaw. The Grimm Family was very special to all of us in Saginaw. Everyone from Saginaw is better off today as a result of meeting Bob and his children. Bob was a solid man that cared deeply for his wife and children. Thank you Bob, for all that you did while with us here on earth.

Bob & Carrie Kessel

Condolence From: Michael Mercer
Condolence: We are so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. He fought the battle so hard and with all the stubbornness I remember him having as we grew up! Bob was one of a kind. True to himself and true to his friends. I have so many memories of Bob coming over to my parents house and lifting weights with my Dad and myself. He would not quit! Just as he would not quit his long fight with cancer. We will miss you Bob. We send all our love and prayers to the family!

Condolence: Bonnie and Family:

Although I only knew Bob from working at Walker's, he was certainly an interesting man. Although we worked in different buildings, under different divisions, his door was always open and usually always saw me walk by. He would start talking to me and I'd stand in his doorway and chat about....usually nothing very important. Now it seems those conversations are very important to me..that's how I remember Bob...always happy, and telling stories.

You must be awefully proud for having such a wonderful husband and father.

Condolence From: Dawn Godfree
Condolence: To those who loved Bob "Teddy Bear" Grimm:

I grew up with Bob in Oakville, and he was always larger than life to both males and females. All the girls wanted him, and all the guys wanted to be like him. There was only one Bob Grimm; the one with the unmistakable smile; the devil in his eyes; the best kisser in town.

I saw him two years ago and he told me he was in remission. He looked fantastic. He told me the joys in life consisted of being with his children, Bonnie's children, and his grandchildren. He told me he was never unfaithful to his wife; quite a feat for Bob!!

Bonnie, I never met you, but I thank you for being in his life. He loved you and respected you. He had a wonderful life with you and the children.

I was a wild child in Oakville, and, Bob, as well as Dick, made sure my best friend Marilee Kitson and I stayed out of trouble. He was a protector of the people he cared for. He was a gentle soul.

I will miss him.

My heart goes out to Bob's family. When you want to think of Bob, turn on a little Herbie Hancock. He'll be smiling atcha'!

Sincerely,

Dawn Godfree
