CONDINA, Maria (Papalia) – With sad hearts, we announce the passing of our dear mother on October 20th, 2014 at the age of 88, at Upper Canada Lodge. Born March 8th 1926 in S. Eufemia d’Aspromonte, Italy. Predeceased by her husband Stefano (2011). Loving mother of Cosmo and Cathy (George LePoidvin). Survived by brother-in-law Cosmo Condina (the late Concetta) and sisters-in-law Anna (the late Frank) Papalia and Marietta (the late Antonio) Papalia all of St. Catharines. Sister-in-law Eufemia Condina and brother-in-law Guiseppe Condina of Australia. Sister-in-law Maria Condina of Italy. Predeceased by all her siblings Eufemia, Dominico Antonia, Guiseppe, Catarina, Antonio, Concetta and Frank. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, USA, Italy and Australia.
The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street on Wednesday from 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Niagara on the Lake. Rite of committal will follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Upper Canada Lodge will be appreciated.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bastedo for his compassionate care, the nursing staff at the Niagara on the Lake Hospital, the nursing staff and the PSW’s at Upper Canada Lodge.
