PARSONS, Margaret – Life time resident of Niagara-On-The-Lake recently of Stevensville died peacefully in her 94th year on March 24, 2009 at Douglas Memorial Hospital, Fort Erie. Beloved wife of the late Edward (2008). Devoted mother to Nancy (Jim) Beam of Stevensville, Linda Leinweber of Calgary, and David (Elaine) Parsons of Kitchener. Cherished Grandma to Janice (Chris) Nash, John (Renee) Haney, Terry Haney, Teresa (Jeff) Klotz, David Leinweber, Tim and Mike Parsons. Step-grandchildren Laura (Scott) Murchison, Leah (Austin) Toth and Bill (Isabel) Beam. She also leaves 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchilden.
She touched many lives as secretary for Dr. Riggs Clinic and as a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, N.O.T.L.
She was the matriarch of the family, the glue that held us together, the rock, always consistent and strong. Her children are grown, her sweetheart is gone. It was time for her to move on.
A memorial service will be held at the NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 415 Regent Street on Sunday March 29, 2009 at 2:00 o’clock. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
