Condolences

Condolence From: ROSS E RANSOM
Condolence: In 1953-54 I was a student living in Middle House. We often saw "Buzz" in Burwash Hall at mealtimes, and at occasional formal dinners in the hall. Although I never had personal contact with her, thoughts of her now trigger many fond memories of university residence living. I live in St. Catharines and spend much time in NOTL. I of course had no idea that she lived there. PLease accept my condolences for a very bright lady.

Condolence From: Judy Wigmore
Condolence: Buzz was an exceptional woman. Although I met her only once (when she and Ted came to my parent's 1989 wedding anniversary celebration), she was a cherished, lifelong friend of my deceased Mom, Sarah (Janes) Wigmore. My Mom always spoke fondly of Buzz, particularly the shared pre-WWII times with Buzz, Ted and Mom's brother, Bill Janes.

I am curious if any family members know of the happy times the "gang" spent at Harriet Stephen's cabin at Devil's Lake in Haliburton?

Buzz'z passing makes me very aware that an era has ended. Sincerely, Judy Wigmore in Kamloops, BC

Condolence: I was a student at South House, Burwash Hall, Victoria University from 1961 to 1964. I well remember Ms. Hewson (we called her "Ma Hewson") in the great dining hall. When I moved to NotL in 2001, I bought the house on Gate Street right across from where she lived in retirement. She was a great lady. Requiescat in pace.

Condolence: After we moved into our present home at # 11 Garden Court of Pleasant Manor in the summer of 2006 we soon became acquainted with Ms Hewson as our neighbour. Even though we have not known her for a very long time we very much appreciate her beautiful character and personality. Please accept our condolences.
