Irene  Percheson
PERCHESON, (Melvina) Irene – Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and godmother passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Pioneer Elder Care, St. Catharines, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Peter Percheson and her son, Peter. Daughter of Anastasia and James Cardinal, formerly of Toronto and Thunder Bay. Survived by her sons, John and Paul; her grandson, Riley; and her sister, Helen Leluk. Irene was an exemplary, elegant woman who pushed the boundaries of convention from an early age. She was a model, an outstanding volunteer, a wise and loving counsel and friend, and a collector of all things beautiful. She enjoyed many special friendships during her life while living in Thunder Bay, Toronto, Moose Jaw, Vancouver, Victoria and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Many thanks to the staff at Pioneer Elder Care in St. Catharines for their kindness, humour and gentle care. In Irene’s memory, plant a tree.
Visitation at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Funeral liturgy will be held at Kearney Funeral Home, 450 West 2nd Avenue, Vancouver, BC on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 10 a.m. Rite of committal to follow at Ocean View Mausoleum, Vancouver, BC.
