HOFFNER, John Sr. - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2003 at the age of 95. Loving husband of the late Katie Hoffner (Putler). Beloved father of Dorothy and John (Monique). Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Mika) Balogh, and Erik and Warren Hoffner. Great-grandfather of Kai and Asha Balogh. Brother-in-law to Eva Hoffner and Ella Putler. Uncle to Teresa, Eva, Betty, Kathryn, David and Linda. Predeceased by his sister Magdalena and brothers Paul, Adam, Michael and Peter.
Mr. Hoffner is at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, where his family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5-9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening at 7:00 o’clock. A private interment will take place at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery at a later time. As an expression of sympathy those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
