WERNER, William “Bill”- After a short battle with cancer, Bill passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018 at Hospice Niagara surrounded by his family. Bill is survived by his loving wife Susan, his children Jeremy (Jessica), Darryl, Shannon (Mike), Brett (Breanna) and the light of his life, grandson Noah. Cherished son of Erna and the late George Sr (2005). Predeceased by his brother George Jr (2005) and brother-in-law Walter Seck (2006). Survived by his siblings Linda (Ron) Wiebe, Fred (Lorraine), Margaret (Jack) Sell, sister-in-law Dianna, mother-in-law Betty Mason (Jim 2004) and brother-in-law Ian (Martha) Mason. Also, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Dr. Tharmabala and nurse Barb, Dr. Bastedo, paramed nurses Irene and Helen and the staff and volunteers of Hospice Niagara.
Bill is at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake where his family will receive friends on Wednesday January 10th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2027 Niagara Stone Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake on Thursday morning, January 11th at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Niagara or Trinity Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
