Hunter, William Robert “Bob” - Passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday February 1, 2016 at the age of 79, surrounded by his cherished family. Loving husband of Ruth Hunter (nee Willms) for 57 years. Proud father of Ken (Julie) Hunter, Tom (Kathryn) Hunter, and Jim (Debbie) Hunter. Beloved grandfather of Victoria, Olivia, Rachel, Byron, Hilary, Alisha, Mackenzie, and Jake. Survived by his sisters Virginia (the late Reg) Haines, Eileen (Allan) Counsell, Willo (Steve) McMillan, and in-laws Lillian (Henry) Janzen, Susan (Alex) Fast, Ken (Mary) Willms, and Elinor (Lee) Rattray. He will be missed by his long-time friends, Doug and Joyce Dineley. Bob is predeceased by his parents William James and Grace Lillian Hunter. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Family will receive friends at the Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Friday February 5, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 323 Simcoe St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Saturday February 6, 2016 at 3 pm.
