Condolence From: Larry Stewart
Condolence: Vi, or as we all knew her “Mrs Mills”, was the only person I ever knew that had a perpetual smile on her face. I don’t think she knew how to frown. We lived across the street from the Mills on Castlereagh. The Mills were great neighbors and Vi was just a delightful lady. She will be missed be all. Our sincere condolences from all the Stewarts.

Condolence: Mrs. Mills taught me to swim, was there at the pool throughout my youth, adulthood and there when I brought my children for lessons. My thoughts are with the family and all those who were touched by her.

Condolence From: Rick Monette
Condolence: When I moved to NOTL 19 years ago I was 45 and unable to swim. When I enrolled in private lessons, the youthful staff wisely assigned me to Vi. What followed was 3 wonderful summers with Vi (with a big assist from Rick and Cathy) where we exchanged our divergent views of the world while I eventually learned to swim slow lengths of the Memorial Pool. I go back every summer, and whenever I put my face in the water, I hear Vi urging me on. She will swim with me forever.

Condolence: Vi, was a wonderful woman, wife and mother to all of her family and extended family. We remember her best as the leader of the staff at the pool. She touched so many lives in a positive way. Her smile was always there to cheer the heart. We will miss her. Please accept our profound best wishes for a life well lived and for the celebration of life, that we know will follow. Jim and Pat
