SCALETTA, Vincent (Jim) – Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, December 20, 2019 in his 95th year. Loving husband to the late Catherine (nee Wilson) for 57 years. Father of Catherine of St. Catharines, Patricia (Peter) of Plattsville and Michael of London. Grandpa to Adam (Christin) and the late Timothy (1997). Predeceased by siblings Sam (Evelyn), Mona (Steve) and Frank. Special friend and companion to Rita. Jim will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim worked for the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp in Niagara Falls, NY for 24 years, and then at the Niagara Parks Commission for 10 years before officially retiring at age 65. Jim loved old cars, John Wayne movies and enjoyed relaxing with a glass of wine regailing his captive audience with a good story.
Funeral services have taken place on Monday, December 23rd. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, supporting animals/nature, as Jim was an animal lover.
