NORTON, Richard Earle - Suddenly as a result of a heart attack, with family by his side, Richard passed away on December 3, 2019 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in his 85th year. Loving husband to Viva Norton (nee Quinn) for 62 years. Father of David (Debbie), Brenda (Bob), Veronica (Doug) and the late Donald (2005). Poppa of Melissa (Drew), Ashley (Thomas), Jennifer (Tyson), Joshua (Candace), Whitney (Trevor), Tessa (Mandy), Billy (Katie), eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way. Brother of Helen and Betty and sister-in-law Joanne. Richard will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Richard work for the city of St. Catharines for 38 years, retiring in 1998.
Family will receive friends at the MORAGN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street on Friday December 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 11:00 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 73 Picton Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake. Cremation will follow.
