NOËL, René S. - Peacefully with family by his side at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on September 6, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Loving husband of Mona for many years. Proud father of Heidi Noël (Finn Poschmann), Teressa Williamson (Ian), Jasmine Noël (Javier Goiria), and René Noël (Susannah Lavallee). Playful grandfather of Max (Jaela) and Chris Poschmann, Sabrina and Sam Williamson, Grace and Jackson Noël, and Emeric Goiria. Dear brother of Edgar (Suzanne). René will be missed by his nieces Hélène, Julie and Dana and their families, his many close friends and Aly Noël (Peter Weir). René was born in Montréal and had a life-long passion for cranes, heavy equipment, travel, Formula 1 racing, and food. Special thank you to the wonderful hospital staff for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of René’s life will be held on Thursday September 13th from 2-4p.m. at the MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake. A brief remembrance service will be held at 4p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
