Condolence: Our sincerest condolences to Wayne, Bob, Cathy, Maryellen, and all the family. We have many fond memories of Nick and Marion and will cherish them. Nick had an amazing connection with his family, friends, community, and church and will be sorely missed by all. Even though we haven't managed to visit with any of the family in over a decade (except via social media) we still consider you to be members of our extended family. Condolence: Nick led a full and engaged life. He was very much part of my life growing up in Niagara and the Marino's were close family friends. Nick, like Marion before him, will be greatly missed. Condolence: Such a sad day for Nick's family and all of Niagara on the Lake. Nick was a great role model as a man who cared about and contributed to his community. I always enjoyed our conversations or the big wave and smile when I would run into him at Valu Mart, The Stage Coach or wherever he was about town (which was everywhere!). My condolences. DEBI

Condolence: So sad to hear that Nick has passed away. He was a special person with a booming personality. I remember him first as a legendary umpire in baseball whose calls could be heard far away! I got to know Nick well at the NOTL golf course and he was always so kind and friendly to me. He would always tell me how Wayne was doing or when Wayne was coming down to see him. Nick was so proud of Wayne. Nick loved his whole family. 2 legends of the town AL Derbyshire and Nick have now passed away this year. They were such good friends, loyal veterans and they use to love golfing together. How fortunate was I to have known these special men well. My condolences to the family.

Condolence: I am proud and honoured to have had such an outstanding brother as Nick We had a strict rule that it would have been sinful to break, once a month, a fish dinner, washed down by a cold beer at the Sandtrap in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It was an occasion that we faithfully looked forward to with great anticipation as it provided an opportunity to share good, memorable times and stories.Nick's obiturary beautifully tells about his faithful and dedicated commitment to his country, his community and his God. He was a giving and caring human being, and although he will be very sadly missed he will always be remembered by the outstanding legacy he leaves. Rest in peace big brother.
