Obituary for Joseph Taylor

Taylor, Joseph –
February 22, 1948 – May 6, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we say good-bye to Joseph Taylor, who died on May 6, 2022. Joe was born in Paddington England on the 22nd of February 1948 and that is the only reason why we can understand his love of the West Ham United FC. Joe always managed to bring the light into our lives, whether jumping behind the bar at the Man of York Pub in Tottenham, sharing good times on the 19th hole or building his businesses (of which there were many). His desire to travel and experience other cultures was balanced evenly with his contentment of sitting with family and friends sharing a meal and enjoying a conversation. His witty and dry sense of humour made those who knew him laugh and no one was a stranger to Joe. Joseph will always be remembered with love by his wife Cathy, his son Lee and grandchildren Chloe and Kiera. His sound advice and support will be missed by Carling, Sean and Alex as well as Indy and Eva. Throughout his illness, Joe was held up by the great love and care of Cathy. They were by each others side every day, making each other laugh and enjoying the cheeky squabbles of husband and wife. Cathy would like to thank all the doctors and nurses for their support and dealing with such a devastating time with compassion and care.
The family invites you to join in a celebration Joe’s life at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake on Thursday, May 12th, 2022 at 1 o’clock. Donations in memory of Joe would be greatly appreciated to the Red Roof Retreat or the St. Catharines General Hospital.
