Condolences

Condolence From: Dorit Kalev
Condolence: I just heard the devastating news and am absolutely crushed. I am a former employee of MusiCares, which Joe and Anita supported religiously. I must've connected with Joe regularly for the past 15 years, at least. Working with him was always the biggest pleasure because of his kindness and giving nature. I know they will not soon be forgotten. May their memories, along with their daughter's, forever be a blessing. xx

Condolence From: Mario & Rachel De Divittis
Condolence: Dear Taylor and Clark Our deepest condolences. Today’s service was special and something the Brock & Niagara Community will remember...muchlike your family’s legacy. We did not know Laura but if she was anything like your parents then we are certain she was amazing. I (Mario) served on the Brock Board with Joe for three years and I am forever grateful that Joe provided me this opportunity. I was young to have joined the board and Joe took a chance on me. He made a point to encourage my growth, taught me many things through example and we became friends. Likewise, as did my wife and I with your incredible mom. She was such a positive light. Kind, humble and compassionate. They both attended our wedding in 2016 and one of their generous gifts was a framed hand written (by your mother of course) First Corinthians, verse “Love is Patient” which reminds by our bed stand. Together they embodied this and they will continue to act as an inspiration to Rachel and myself for years to come.

Condolence: Mary, Jim, Andy, Dorothy and the Rodger's family, my deepest sympathies on such a tragic loss, my heart is with you during this difficult time of grief. Although our paths did not cross often at Golden Lake during our adult lives I have fond memories of my childhood growing up at the lake with Joe and the rest of our gang; swimming, bonfires, board games, sleepovers in the chalet and best of all singing Beatles songs with Cam and Dave as part of the "Washouts". Condolence From: Adam & Marla Smith
Condolence: Dear Taylor and Clark, We are so saddened by the loss of your parents and your sister. Your mother was amazing role model and mentor to me, she invested her time and knowledge in coaching me and building me up. As you both likely know, your mother did this for many people in our community. She was an incredible wealth of knowledge and was always free to offer a listening ear and words of encouragement. I will remember your mother and try to be like her. Your father, was one of the most brilliant men I had ever met. I loved how he thought things through and his decision making process. He will be incredibly missed. I had met your sister a few times, her lovely ty beenie babies are my children's favourite toys! Both of my kids play with them all of the time, and we will continue to remember her and your family every time we see them. We are thinking of you both, sending prayers for comfort during this incredibly difficult time. Adam & Marla Smith

Condolence From: Bob Skura
Condolence: My condolences to family and friends of Joe, Anita and Laura. Having first met Joe when he purchased Arcona I can look back now and see how many lives he affected in a positive way. In business he was a disruptor before technology made that an everyday term. Those disruptions in the dental industry made it a more efficient industry and provided personal growth opportunities for many people. His vision of the value of women in business was ahead of his time so he was able to tap into a resource that others were ignoring. After he sold his business my contact with Joe was less frequent but based on what I knew of him it's not surprising that he made a career of giving back so much of what he had earned. We should all be so fortunate. All people who knew or were related to Joe and Anita should feel very privileged to have made their acquaintance. I miss him and the sense of humour that laid below his practicality.

Condolence From: Anita Cox (Day)
Condolence: To Taylor, Clark, Jim, Dorothy, Andy, Mary, Sonya, Leisa and the extended family and friends of Joe, Anita and Laura Robertson...it is with heaviest heart, shock and disbelief that I learned of their passing. I shared an early part of their lives in 76/77 as we worked together at McDonald's Bells Corners. Although I did not maintain communication with Joe and Anita since that time, they occupy a special place in my heart. I recall Joe's passion for music with his many hours at band in Bell High School (I still have the album released in 77) and Anita's love of dance and her years learning ballet as a young girl. They channeled these passions and found countless ways to give back and make this world a better place. Please know each of you are in the hearts and prayers during this difficult time and days ahead. Your parents, siblings are traveling along beside you now in your many, countless cherished memories and life lessons. God has called them home early and their legacy will continue through generations...Love and prayers, Anita

Condolence From: Paul & Jo-Anne Robillard
Condolence: Dear Sonya, Leisa, Clark, Taylor and the entire Robertson, Rodger and Daly families. Our hearts are so heavy with the loss of Anita, who was smart, talented and a beautiful woman in a myriad of ways; Joe with so many accomplishments, yet he was humble; and sweet Laura, just beginning what should have been a long journey. While we question why God called them home when they were doing His work by helping so many – we remember your Mom and Grandmother Ellie – who had faith in our Lord’s promise of eternal life. We will hold dear all the memories of your entire family for the remainder of our lives and know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this extremely difficult time. Paul & Joey

Condolence From: Dawn
Condolence: To the Robertson's family and friends, I extend my condolence for the loss of your loved ones. As a Minister, I wanted to share a message of hope found in the Bible at Acts 24:15, where we find God’s promise "there will be a resurrection". This will happen when God's Kingdom rules this earth as it does in heaven, Matthew 6:10. As you reminisce about the good times you had with your beloved, continue to pray for God's Kingdom, or government, to come to this earth where you will then be able to hug Joe, Anita and Laura forever. Condolence: Joe & Anita's kind and caring ways will not be forgotten. Joe's brilliance & Anita's gentle guidance helped us all through the darkest storm & gave us confidence to move forward in our lives. Joe shared with me that after averaging 110 hours of work for 10 years it equalled the amount of a full career. After his financial success he told me the biggest challenge yet, was how to give it all back in a positive ways. To the boys/men Taylor & Clark follow your passions. Your Father, Mother & Sister will always be by your side. Love your Arcona - Adair Robertson Company Name Family.

Condolence From: Francis & Maureen Belle
Condolence: Taylor, Clark, Dorothy, Jim, Andy, Mary, Sonya and Leisa and family, our deepest condolences on the tragic loss of Joe, Anita and Laura. Our thoughts are with all of you. Joe and I met in 1967 at the beginning of grade 4 and this was the start of our lifelong friendship. We were inseparable in grade school and I spent many summers with Joe and the Robertson family at Golden Lake. Joe was my best man at my wedding and when I stood up for Joe at his wedding my wife Maureen and I met Anita for the first time and we all became great friends. We always kept in touch and when we were able to meet up in person we always said that it just felt like yesterday that we had seen each other. I just had a short text conversation with Joe a week ago Saturday and he told me how excited he was about his vacation. We will miss our good friends dearly and will cherish the memories we have of them forever. Francis and Maureen Belle Regina, Saskatchewan
