Obituary for Jerry Frank Holatko

Holatko, Jerry Frank 1947-2022
After a long and Valiant fight with Primary Myelofibrosis it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry, peacefully at home with family at his side, at the age of 74.
Beloved husband of 51 years to Marilyn. Devoted and loving father of Mary Catherine Telemaque (Nick). Loved and cherished Popi of Ava and Rebecca. Brother in law of Raymond St.Pierre, Richard St.Pierre (Melissa), Robert St.Pierre (Dana). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jerry graduated in 71’ from University of Waterloo. He worked 34 years with Health Canada starting in the lab and working his way up to manager of Drugs and Devices. After retiring he went on to work for Pharm Eng consulting before starting his own consulting firm.
His loves outside of work were family, music, and travel. He sang in several church choirs and also with County Town Singers Performing choir. He played the accordion winning many awards.
He was fortunate to travel both for pleasure and with work to Europe, Asia, Israel, the Baltic and throughout the US. He loved meeting people, immersing himself in their language and culture.
He was always there for his family; nothing was more important. His kind, generous and loving spirit will be greatly missed.
We would like to thank Dr.Vikas Gupta, & Taylor Nye from Princess Margaret. Dr. Maida & Mary from Walker Cancer Clinic, Palliative EMS (all angels), Dr.F Viviers and Palliative Community team (Helen, Paul, Jubi, Bonnie, Alex and Georgina as well as the CTG transport team especially Debbie, Matt and Damon) and finally the HCT E shift who all helped ease this transition. Most of all we are especially grateful to all those who donated life giving blood for Jerry’s many transfusions.
Last but certainly not least to Father Peter Rowe and Father Randy Galant who assisted Jerry spiritually in his final journey. He is now with the Lord.
