SEMENACH, George – After a long life, George went to be with the Lord. He passed away with peace, love and family by his side on Friday December 28, 2012 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Nettie for 61 years. Loving father to Janice (Arthur) Haines, Nancy (Henri) Gingras, Terry Semenach and Ken Semenach. Cherished grandpa to Rachel and Nicole Gingras. George will be also missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Agrippina and Michael Semenach, his brothers John and Fred. Heartfelt thanks to Valley Park Lodge staff for their care of George for almost 12 years. Also thank you to Dr. Gholam and the nurses at the hospital for making his last hours very comfortable. “God has him in his keeping, we have him in our hearts…” Family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent St. NOTL, on Monday December 31st from 1- 4:30pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday January 2nd at 1:00 o’clock. A private interment will follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Galcom International.
