We lived opposite Fritz and Brenda on Gage St. NOTL and as such shared many neighborly occasions,The outstanding memory of Fritz is that in every interaction,everything he said or did "he was a gentleman".

He quite often left us transfixed with stories of back home in Europe - the family home;his warm and privilidged life;the harrowing escape from German oppression/occupation of his homeland - all told with that soft,heavily accented voice,without rancour or excess.

He liked a glass of wine and to assist this passion he always ensured his cellar was suitably stocked to share with friends and acquaintances alike.A hearty laugh and twinkle in the eye often accompanied the telling of,or listening to, a tale. 

A beautiful man who led a quiet life but who left a huge impression on all who came within his orbit.

He shall be truly missed.
