Obituary for Francis George Wilson

Francis George Wilson
WILSON, Frank (Frankie) – It is with much sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Frank (Frankie) Wilson, 81, on Monday, December 2, 2019 in St Catharines, ON. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rowena, sons Stephen (Jennifer), Craig (Katherine) and Paul (Kathryn), grandchildren Erica and Blake and sisters Judy and Sharon (Jim). He is predeceased by his brother Douglas and sister Gloria. Frank was born and raised in Saint John, NB. He moved to Nova Scotia to attend St Francis Xavier University but returned to Saint John where he met and married Rowena. Frank’s over 40 year career in medical sales brought he and his family to live in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario (London & Georgetown), North Carolina and Florida. After his retirement, Frank and Rowena spent many great years traveling and ultimately settled back in Niagara on the Lake, ON. He was a true gentleman with a kind and generous spirit and was always known for his love of family, his wit, wry sense of humor and impeccable sense of style. He loved golfing with his boys, curling, watching football and cruising the world with Rowena. He had a lot of favourite sayings one of which was, “if you can touch it, you can catch it”. Frank touched many lives and will be greatly missed by friends and extended family in Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and the US. Special thanks to Dr. Arvinte and the caring team at Heidehof.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal service however a Celebration of Life will take place in early 2020. Donations to Heidehof in St Catharines (www.heidehof.com) would be appreciated.
