Obituary for Elisabeth "Betina" Mulcaster (Kuhn)

On Friday July 23, 2021, Elisabeth ”Betina” Mulcaster passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Catharines General Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 6, 1939 in Honig, Germany. She will be very sadly missed by her husband Peter of 55 years, their son Julian and his wife Heather, and grandchildren Catherine and Maxwell. Betina is survived by her sister Elfriede.
Betina studied photography and worked for Kurt Julius in Hannover, Germany and Robert C. Ragsdale in Toronto. Later in life she became an avid and skilled gardener, especially when it came to flowers. She was a voracious reader of history and the classics and loved to travel. The greatest joy of her life was the gift of her grandchildren whom she adored and loved dearly.
Special thanks to the physicians, nurses and staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre, St. Catharines and the Oncology Ward at St. Catharines General Hospital.
A private family funeral service has taken place with interment at St. John’s Cemetery in Jordan. Arrangements entrusted to MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Niagara Health Foundation in support of the Walker Family Cancer Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society.
