Mom loved life. Born in Niagara-on-the-Lake, she sang in the St. Mark’s Anglican Church Choir for several years. A gifted vocalist, she fulfilled many a request to perform as a soloist on special occasions. She became a talented rug-hooker, served as President of Greendale Home & School, developed an interest in politics, and was President of the Resident Council at Valley Park Lodge. Mom enjoyed travelling, especially out west to visit her grandchildren. She loved puzzles. She enjoyed the outdoors and her many flowerbeds and large vegetable garden she grew while raising her children on the family farm. Mom loved animals and watching the birds though had many a dispute with her squirrels.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, with a Funeral Service on Thursday, June 2, at 1:00 PM at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Niagara-on-the-Lake followed by interment in the church cemetery.
