SMITH, Frances Faye (Clements) - Surrounded by her family at Niagara-on-the-Lake Palliative Hospital on Sunday April 23rd 2006, Faye passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Ross, dear mother of Yvonne and her husband Chris Naese, stepmother of Vicki and husband Scott Wallace, Sherri and Husband Jim Slessor, loving grandmother to Chloe and Gramma Faye to Jackson, Kelli, Kyle and Bea. Survived by her 94 year old mother Frances Clements, sister Vi and husband Bill Doherty, sister Donna and husband Norm Coulter, brother George Clements and many nieces and nephews.
Faye grew up and worked with her family on the Clements farm in Milton and was successful as a young girl singing in competitive Kiwanis and other music festivals throughout the area and received many awards. Faye spent over 25 years at Hawker Siddeley Canada working as an Executive Assistant where she made many lifelong friends. Faye always looked forward to her yearly fun trips to Las Vegas and their winter vacation in Naples Florida. Retirement in Niagara-on-the-Lake in her "perfect little" bungalow and her love of gardening in their beautiful backyard, was all too short.
Faye is at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chapel of the Morgan Funeral Homes, 415 Regent Street, where her family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7-9 and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the chapel. Interment will follow in Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery.
