Condolence: My heart goes out to Bruces sons and loved ones. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Bruce was a good friend and it's been hard to say goodbye. Bruce was known for his extensive service in the community as well as the many people he helped and was there fore. He was a funny, gentle, caring soul. Who loved living and squeezed every minute into life. He will be missed by many. Especially the Lake Gr. We will meet again my friend. It's been a privilege. Blessed Be.

Condolence: Bruce was someone I immediately felt drawn to, and began talking to, when I met him a couple of years ago. Moving to this area, I didn't know many people, and was eager for any friends. He became one I would have loved to have made anywhere, at any time--warm, caring, light-hearted, and humble in that great way that meant he would always meet me where I was, in a conversation. One of my best memories of the last couple of years was of eating lunch with him, his treat. We took some extra time getting to our table, because he stopped to talk to some people, tourists, helping them feel at home. Then we had a wonderful time, there in the restaurant, him with that great smile that never seemed far away. After we left there, we drove around while he showed me some of the sights, and then I dropped him back off at his car. I don't remember for sure, but there's a good chance he was on his way to help someone else feel at home on this planet. I believe he'll always do that for me.

Condolence: To the family and friends of Bruce Townsend, please accept my condolence. I did not know Bruce, but the pain of such a loss is universal. Take comfort in knowing that the Bible promises a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. (Acts 24:15) That includes Bruce. This promise is not a dream, but a sure hope because God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) For more info, write to Bethel, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, New York 11201 for a free copy of the book "What the Bible Really Teach" and read chapter 7 along with your Bible.
