Although not all are seen during a visit to one of our funeral homes, their presence behind the scenes is nonetheless critical to the day-to-day operation of our facilities.  Our support staff play vital roles in ensuring our high standard of service.  We are proud of their dedication and commitment.


DAVE AGAR, Funeral Assistant

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Dave has been with Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes since July 2008.  He volunteers actively with the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club.  He and his wife Merri-Lee and daughter Reillee reside in Niagara Falls.

MARNY ATKINSON, Continuing and Community Care Coordinator

Marny Atkinson has been with Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes since December 1999, coming from a seven-year position as Ministry Development Co-Ordinator at St. Andrew's United Church in Niagara Falls.  She is Morgan's Bereavement Coordinator and is a Certified Funeral Celebrant.  Her training includes psychiatric-nursing, Writing for Professionals at Niagara College, and Thanatology at King's College, University of Western Ontario.
When not busy with Morgan's, Marny spends time with her husband, Dave, and daughters Karen, Rachel and Kelsey.  In addition to her involvement with St. Andrew's United Church, Marny somehow finds the time to write a column for the Niagara Falls Review and the St. Catharines Standard, and as a children's advocate with Regional Niagara Public Health.

LESYA BUSHUSHA, Administration/Hospitality

Born in Ukraine, Lesya moved to Niagara Falls in 1999.  In January 2002 she joined Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes.  Lesya graduated from the College of Polytechnic (Lviv, Ukraine) and worked as an office administrator for Editorial Production Enterprise in Ukraine and then as a bookkeeper for BAC Administration of Niagara Falls.  Lesya and her son are active members of St. Mary's Ukraininan Catholic Church where she also volunteers as a secretary, and Lesya is also a member of the Committee of Ukrainian Catholic Women's League of Canada (Niagara Falls Branch).

An east coast native, Fred was raised in Niagara Falls and graduated from Stamford Collegiate.  He was employed full time with Lubrizol for more than 30 years and was a Production Supervisor at the time of his retirement in April 2009.  He is an avid photographer and is well known for the many weddings he has covered through the years.  With his wife Kathy, they like to travel and have two children, their son Greg and daughter Kristyn.    Fred has been assisting families at the Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes since July 2004.


HELEN GALPIN, Office Administrator

Helen Davis has been with Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes since 1986 and currently holds the position of Office Administrator.  Born in Quebec, Helen's qualifications include a B.A. in Psychology from Trent University, two years of theological studies at Tyndale College in Toronto and computer studies at Niagara College.  Helen is active in the Women's Ministry of Main Street Baptist Church where she and her husband, the late Rev. Robert Davis, had served for seventeen years, and is, as well, involved in a number of charitable organizations.

Isabel is a receptionist at Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes.  Before her time at the funeral home, Isabel worked for Coutts Library Services for twenty three years.  She has four children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Her leisure activities include singing with a ladies chorus both in competition and community performances.

Born in Montreal, Caroline relocated to the Niagara region in 1998, and has been with Morgan Funeral Homes since 2000.  Prior to moving, she managed her own business in stained glass.  As well as being the office secretary at Morse & Son and Morgan's, she has also been involved with the Loss, Grief & Growth Education Project.  Caroline's family includes Mark and her grown children Nick and Kim.

ANDY PATERSON, Funeral Assistant

Born in Fife, Scotland, Andy moved to Niagara Falls in 1967.  After a career as a licensed mechanic and former owner/operator of Paterson Auto Repair, Andy joined Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes in January 1990 where he has been a full time, and more recently part-time funeral assistant. Andy and his wife Carole have five children and nine grandchildren.  His community involvement includes serving as an elder and choir member of Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church, coaching minor soccer for seven years and as a past master of the Clifton Lodge.

NEIL STOETZEL, Funeral Assistant

Born in Brandon, Manitoba, Neil moved to the Niagara Region with his parents in 1951, and then settled in Niagara Falls in 1976.  Neil was employed with the District School Board of Niagara for 34 years prior to his retirement from Ridgeway Public School in August 2009, when he joined the Morse & Son and Morgan Funeral Homes.  He enjoys travel, reading, swimming and to volunteer hours at the Fort Erie Bingo to raise funds for the Legion, the Navy League and Ridgeway Public School.  He is father to 2 daughters and a son, and has 8 grandchildren.

PATRICIA STRASBOURG, Hospitality

After raising her family in Port Hope, Patricia worked as a Cemetery Family Services coordinator in the GTA.  Having received training in both bereavement and palliative care, she has volunteered for Niagara Crisis Centre, as well as the Arthritis Society of Niagara and the United Way, and had served with Big Sisters while living in Northumberland.  A resident of Niagara since 2002, Patricia is a member of Br. 124 of the Royal Canadian Legion, and began serving client families with the team at Morgan Funeral Home in February 2010.  An avid kayaker, she loves reading and dogs.

KATHY VISENTIN, Hospitality

Kathy Visentin is a native of Niagara Falls who joined the staff of Morgan Funeral Homes  October 1999 in the capacity of housekeeper/hostess/receptionist and has recently become a full-time  receptionist.  Prior to becoming a "stay at home mom", Kathy was a teacher for special needs children from 1977 to 1981.  Kathy's educational background includes a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from Brock University.  Her family includes her husband, Gino, son Geoff, his wife Rebecca and their daughter Molly, and daughter Laura.
