It is with great sadness that the family announces the peacefully passing of Kathleen “Mavis” Andrews on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Sidney Andrews (2008). Loving mother of Janice (Terry) Bragg, of Stoney Creek, Brian (Marie), of Niagara Falls, Doreen Prentice, of Coquitlam, B.C., and Don (Laura) of Niagara Falls. Cherished grandmother of Derek (Alicia) Bragg, Trevor (Angie) Bragg, Brenda (Cory) Niemi, Gregory (Tanya) Andrews, Trista Andrews (fiancé Matthew Dol), Kevin (Asma) Prentice, Michael (Kimberley) Prentice, Jordan, Scott and Tommy Andrews. Great grandmother of Nathalie and Kane Bragg, Olivia Bragg, Jared and Caleb Niemi, Barrett Andrews, Jacob and Tessa Prentice and dear sister of the late Win Smith of England. Mavis was a member of the War Brides of St. Catharines and the Virgil Women’s Institute.
The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Mavis’ life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at West St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, St. Catharines. Cremation. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to either Canadian Diabetes Association or to West St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
