Condolences

Condolence From: Don Donaldson
Condolence: I was sorry to learn of the passing of an old friend and colleague from my days working at Motorola in Toronto. Now 7 years after his passing, I have re-entered the hobby and looked Eric up, just to find he had passed.. Last time that I had the pleasure of seeing Eric was at the Toronto boat show in 2015 when we had a great chat about ICOM VHF marine radios. My condolences to the Meth family. RIP my friend.

Condolence From: David Coutts VA7UX
Condolence: I was very sorry to learn of Eric's passing. I worked with him professionally through his radio shop in Cornwall. His desire to keep older two-way radios alive was impressive. He also embraced the newer digital technology and was always a source of knowledge in the two-way radio arena. His love of amateur radio was our common thread and made interactions so much more meaningful and enjoyable. Eric, you will be missed.

Condolence From: Paul Greene VO1PX
Condolence: I was surprised and saddened to hear this morning of Eric's passing. Eric helped our local ham radio club immeasurably with the D-Star system, of which he was the Grand Guru.
When I started a new job at Bell 4 years ago, I discovered he had worked a project here in St. John's some 40 years ago; I called him and got his advice on that issue in 2015... he has left a lasting mark on Amateur, and professional radio in Canada. RIP, VE3EI.
