Hoegi, Mary Evelyn (Mewburn) Retired RN

Mary Hoegi, born in Stamford Township on August 1, 1921, passed away suddenly at her home in St. Catharines on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Beloved wife of the late William (1977); predeceased by parents Percy and Cora (Warner) Mewburn and siblings, Gordon, Howard, Jean (Foss) and Ruth (Armstrong). She will be sadly missed by step-son Ross Hoegi, many loving nieces and nephews and loving cousin Mary Ann Harrison. Mary’s faith, family, friends and community were very important to her. She was readily available to all and willingly gave of her time and many talents when called upon. She was a lifetime United Church Women member, an avid gardener and bridge player; loved to bake, do handcrafts and travel. The family will receive friends at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent St, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Sunday, February 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at Grace United Church, 222 Victoria Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Monday, February 27 at 11 am.
