Florence Louise Bennett (Stevens)-
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Florence Bennett of Niagara-on-the-Lake on Sunday, December 25, 2016, at the age of 97. Florence was pre-deceased by her husband Jack (d. 1983) and her siblings and their spouses -Hester (Cecil) Kerr, Ada (Fred) Moore, Percy (Betty) Stevens, and Ida (Fred) Howarth. Cherished mother of Steven (Judy) Bennett of Navarre, FL; Jack (Kathy) Bennett of Gananoque, ON; Alan Bennett (d. 2014); and Candace (Will) Walker of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Florence is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and their spouses and families. The family thanks the staff at both Willoughby Manor in Chippawa for their support and care over the past seven years, and more recently Chartwell Niagara in Niagara-on-the-Lake for their care over the past few months. Cremation has taken place; a memorial service to celebrate Florence’s life will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Byron Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, followed by a reception in Addison Hall. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark’s Church (NOTL).
