Condolence: To The Lalani Family: I remember Nadine from our days at Ridley. She was such a beautiful person. So warm and open. I was blessed enough to be invitied to her home where she had cooked a beautiful meal for me. Her food was amazing and we had such a good time. Being a boarder so far away from home and family, it was really nice to have a home cooked meal and get an escape from campus. Even though this was about 15 yrs ago I remember her kindness as well as her mother's. I was shocked and saddened to hear this news but Nadine will live on because the memories of who she was and how she made people feel will live forever. Condolence: I had the privilege of working with Dr Lalani, caring for a few of her child patients. She was warm and enthusiastic. How nice to see a young professional returning to her hometown with all those skills and training and sharing them with the people in a city she loved. Condolence: I knew you by virtue of belonging to the same faith and saying prayers together. I knew of you as someone who my 'blood'. Your death as had a profound effect on me. Not an hour goes by that I do not think of you. I awake several times at night with thoughts of you. I did not know as I moved from Niagara Falls. That last time I saw you was at house perhaps 10 years ago. I recall saying to myself; "wow, what a beautiful girl with such beautiful hair". How clever and magnetic you were. I had heard from my family that you were an accomplished cook. That you knew how to cook our traditional food. That you had become a Dentist. That you were a wonderful sister and daughter. I wish I had known you as a young lady. One who had a great smile and someone who was funny and giggled. You were much loved Nadine and you will be deeply missed by all. My name is Tara and I was Nadine's Personal Fitness Trainer at Goodlife Fitness in Niagara Falls. I can not express to you the loss i feel as well. Nadine was my first client of the morning. Her bright expressive eyes, beautiful smile and high spirits made my mornings just that much better. She had a sense of humor and a great wit to her personality. My mornings were always filled with laughter. Nadine and i started training back in September of 2011. I will never forget our first meeting in my office as she told me she wanted a trainer and wanted to be pushed hard. I had to laugh as i then told her what my expectations were of her and what she would expect over the course of the next 9 months together. She then started to back petal because she started to realize it was more work than she was excepting to get or receive. After i opened myself up to her and expressed to her that i once struggled with my weight and i wasn't going to let her down she asked to step out for a drink of water. Thinking she would be back in a few seconds 3 minutes went by and i was starting to think i scared her off. About 3 minutes later she walked back into the office slapped her credit card on my desk and said, "alright lets do this, hurry and run this threw before i change my mind!" Day one with Nadine, i will never forget. She had so many questions and took so many rest breaks! LOL Nadine loved to talk just like i do, and she always did such an amazing job of always distracting me and getting off course. Never the less i always made her finish even if she tried to leave early for her "eyelash fill" appointment. LOL Nadine kept me on my toes and i learned a lot about perfection from her. She strived in so many ways to be such a better person. Her commitment to getting healthier and to have a better quality of life was something she was willing to put the work into as like she has done with her career. Nadine loved her job! She talked about work to me all the time. I myself had a great fear of going to the dentist and Nadine made that fear become a bit easier. I was excited to have her as my dentist and looking after me! Now that i look at it, i realize how the roles had changed! Many people do not realize but being a Personal Trainer isn't all just about training people. We are here to motivate, console, inspire, understand... but most of all we are here to listen and make a difference in the lives of those who trust us to do so. Nadine gave me that and so much more. I had gone through a very rough time in my life not so long ago and Nadine was with me during this time. Being that she was the first person i saw in the morning, she would always ask how things were going. Nadine always reminded me and made me realize who i was as a person and what i had to offer. She constantly reminded me of the impact i had on her life and how much better of a person she felt because of what i made her not only believe but feel and see. I watched Nadine transform herself and her self confidence immensely over the past few months and i am glad i was a part of it. Nadine became not only a client but an amazing friend. I will without a doubt always remember her and truly miss her. As i sit here writing this letter, i can see her beautiful eyes, her amazing smile and i can still hear her giggle that made me laugh every time. I don't know if i will ever find another 8 am early bird client like Nadine who made my day that much brighter. Condolence: I specifically remember when I first met/saw Nadine. It was at one of our NYUCD hang out spots. I was walking down a narrow stairway with one of my friends, and Nadine was walking up. She had her curly hair back in a bun...my friend and Nadine said 'hi' to each other. The moment she passed by, I was like "Wow She has SUCH a beautiful smile. Who is she??" Later on we eventually became friends and I remember Nadine laughing as I told her the story :) Honestly though, I must say, that the beauty of her kind heart even surpassed her outer beauty...and that will never be forgotten in my heart and my prayers.

Condolence: By default, Nadine and I were lab partners at NYU because of our last names. I couldn't have asked for a better lab partner. She always read everything and I could always ask her when I didn't understand something. But better than that was that we would always joke around and I could always count on her to laugh at my jokes...now that's a true friend! Unfortunately, her loud laugh would sometimes get us in trouble too. But that's how I remember Nadine...smart, caring, and great sense of humor. She will truly be missed.
